The event titled "BLUE HELMETS DAY 2024" is held annually by the Soldiers of Peace International Association (SPIA), an organization based in Lyon, France. SPIA is the only non-governmental organization (NGO) entrusted by the United Nations (UN) to organize this event.

This is also evident from the official UN website (www.un.org), where a comprehensive list of NGOs registered and officially accredited by UN Headquarters (UN HQ) in New York and the UN Office in Geneva is available. In this regard, SPIA holds Special Consultative Status and is officially accredited by both UN HQ in New York and the UN Office in Geneva.
